Divorce is on the decline in the USA, but a report to be released today suggests that may be due more to an increase in people living together than to more lasting marriages.

This is just great! Now they can cram more of us in an airplane and give us even LESS legroom! How perfect! 🙁
The ER version of the plane is the same size as the standard 737-900, but the addition of an extra set of exit doors allows a carrier to increase capacity to 215 passengers from the previous 189.

So you don’t wanna pay the $20 on the Sveasoft firmward for your shiny new WRT54G? Check this out:
As you might know, Linksys released the source code of the WRT54G firmware under GPL a while ago. Sveasoft (as well as other projects like WiFi-Box) took this code, added some features and patches and released an improved version of the firmware. This worked fine until one day, Sveasoft decided to close their firmware from public access and to charge 20$ from anyone who would want to download the code. So far so good, however since the GPL allows free redistribution of the obtained program (in this case firmware), one of their customers decided to put the firmware binaries on a P2P network, making them available for everyone. I don’t know who this person is, but I thank him for his kindness and in order to help people out, I decided to mirror those files on this website.

On a side note, my MythTV box now has four tuners in it… and whats amazing about it isn’t the fact that I just popped them in and 10 mins later it was working, but the fact that all the tuners are already recording stuff at the same time!

Looks like HDTV prices will drop like bricks during the Christmas season in 2008. That will be great for consumers, and it’ll also be the time when I finally make the plung towards HDTV. I bet by that time we’ll see 100+ hour HD PVRs, Hi-Def DVD will be figured out, and most shows will actually be broadcasted in Hi-Def. Yay!
In a boost to the nation’s transition to digital TV, broadcasters told Congress Wednesday they would agree to give up their analog channels and start broadcasting only in digital by 2009.
